On October 31st, 2010, the Kingdom of Pride will hold it's third ever Super Show: Death's Desire. The event promises to be one of the more violent shows in Kingdom of Pride's history, as well as present a few new shocks and a few new and old faces to Pride. The matches, and a short recap of their history, are as followed:
Jaden Hunter vs. John Parker
Despite being the opening match of the card, these two by far tell one of the more intriguing stories. At Autumn Annihilation last month, Kurt Noble fired John Parker for failing to meet the excellence policy enacted under Noble and Jeremy Sterling. However, he didn't exactly listen. JDP made numerous attempts to re-enter Pride, eventually causing Kurt Noble to verbally lash out at the timid young man...but that didn’t sit well for Jaden Hunter, a no-nonsense rookie who debuted that night. In a case of "wrong place, wrong time," Kurt Noble suspended Jaden Hunter, and then announced that he and JDP would have to face one another at Death's Desire, with consequences for the loser of the match. The following week, both JDP and Jaden Hunter assisted each other, saving the other from a beat-down. Now, the two "friends" must battle it out, and neither can save the other for what might happen after the match...
Epic Angle vs. Beat Team EVA
The Best Team EVA are no strangers to the Kingdom. Last year, the team of Robbie Venom & Shawn Stevens took Pride by storm as they nearly annihilated the roster, forcing a controversial closing of Pride. Now, the team has returned...but their status as the "Beat Team Ever (Read: EVA) has been challenged by the new duo of Stephen Callaway and Bruce Hendrickson, dubbed "Epic Angle." Both teams has alleged that they are in fact the best team currently in the Kingdom of Pride, and at Death's Desire, the informal title is up for grabs. Who will talk away being the best team in the Kingdom of Pride?
Johnny Noble vs. Orge Lambart
Johnny Noble loves defying his big brother. Through the past month, he's taken shot after shot at his brother and his management style, especially at the hiring of the legendary wrestler Orge Lambart. After witnessing Lambart set fire to Tommy Hargrove, Noble verbally assaulted Lambart for his use of fire, and declaring that he was merely a joke in the Kingdom. After it appeared Lambart was going to answer Noble's challenge, Lambart proved that he isn't afraid of anyone in Pride by attempting to set Johnny Noble on fire. Now, the match has been set as the first ever 'Halloween Hardcore" match, in which any weapon is up for grabs, and the ring will be displayed in Halloween weaponry. Will Pride even be left standing after these two power-players have had their say?
Syndicate Title Match: Kid Flanagan (c) vs. Obscene
The first title match of the night has been a match that has been building since Autumn Annihilation. After winning the Syndicate Championship, Kid Flanagan was put through a table by an unknown man. The following week, he was assaulted as the lights went out by the same man. At the conclusion of the Valiant Championship Tournament, the man revealed himself to be Obscene, as he took out Flanagan from the competition. Obscene has expressed his pure hatred for Kid Flanagan, calling him a mockery to the Syndicate title. However, as he's proven in the ring, Kid Flanagan is no "kid" to be messed with. He's responded with his lights display, even shooting Obscene with a paintball gun! With the title on the line, and lights in place, it's time for Obscene to back up his words, and to see who really is a serious competitor in Pride.
Valiant Championship Match" Josh Eagles (c) vs. Chris Hart
It's been said that the best of friends makes the best of enemies, and in the Kingdom of Pride, that's proven to be true time and time again. In the past years, Josh Eagles and Chris Hart have been friends, teaming together and watching over the other in companied like Pro Wrestling FIRE. However, the two rivals have also had their fair share of matches, wth Chris Hart winning both separate encounters. Since coming to Pride, the two have had the others backs, assisting against men like Christian Kane and Adam Abel...but that all changed when Josh Eagles won the Valiant Title Contendership Tournament. The following week, in one of the most controversial finishes in Pride history, Josh Eagles won the title from Chris Hart...with a little assist from the ropes. The decision proved to be even more controversial, with Chris Hart being fired at the following Oblivion. In a last ditch move, Kurt Noble rehired Chris Hart due to his rematch clause...but should Chris Hart fail to regain the title, he'll be fired from the Kingdom. This feud has literally torn the Kingdom in half, from the friendship of two rivals to the management team itself! But at Death's Desire, the questions will all be answered. Did Josh Eagles mean to cheat? Will Chris Hart remain in Pride? And...who really is the true Valiant Champion?
Tune in tomorrow, on Halloween, to watch one of the most controversial and bloody night Pride has ever seen, when the Kingdom of Pride presents: Death's Desire.
