Cai Rhys Williams - born April 20th, 1984 in the small Welsh town of Neath. Born into humble beginnings, Cai was taught early on how life had a habit of kicking your arse, losing his mother to cancer at the tender age of seven-years-old. Young or not, Cai knew from that moment that life wasn't going to be the joyride his innocent mind had come to expect. The breaking of his spirit soon came to be known as a running theme.
So how did this young boy become the beast known today as "Pitbull"?
The day Pitbull was born started as an ordinary day for Cai. May 13th, 1996. By now Cai was in his first year of high school, and he already hated it. Why? Daniel Lydiate - the overweight bully who just loved to pick on the smaller, quiet Cai. After all that made him an easy target, and isn't that what all bullies prey on? As far as Daniel was concerned today would be no different. However, things took a rather unexpected turn...

"Come on, you scrawny shit!" a large teenage looking boy - Daniel Lydiate of course - taunts as he shoves a much smaller boy in the chest. "Try and hit me!"
We are now in a school playground. A few yards away from the two fighting a small group - Daniel's degenerate little crew - laugh, while a larger crowd is starting to gather as is always the case in such a school-based scenario.
Daniel grabs Cai by the collar of his shirt and yells in his face. "Come on you chickenshit!" This only prompts Cai to shove Daniel in an attempt to escape his tormentor's grip - something which only serves to anger the bully, who suddenly punches Cai in the face, knocking him to the hard ground.
"Is that it!?" Daniel screams in a cracky tone, as he kneels down to push Cai's face into the ground. "Little fucking weed!"
Cai desperately squirms but he is helpless until one of Daniel's buddies runs across and grabs him by the shoulder. "Teachers!"
Daniel looks up and immediately releases his victim when he sees a couple of teachers rushing in their direction. "I'll get you after school," he warns Cai as he steps away.
"What is going on here!?" a man who looks to be early into his fifties demands to know, as Cai struggles to lift himself to his knees.
"Nothing, sir," Daniel pleads innocence.
"It doesn't look like nothing!" the second teacher - a woman in her thirties - counters.
Cai watches the conversation from his knees, a busted lip, and blood running down from a cut over his left eye. When some of the blood drops to the ground, Cai touches a hand to the wound and then looks at the blood it comes away with. Suddenly something snaps in Cai. His heart begins to race and he glares at Daniel as he gets to his feet. Cai doesn't hesitate before sprinting at Daniel and knocking the chubby boy to the ground with ease. Cai then grabs a chunk of Daniel's black hair and pulls his head back - before slamming his face into the ground! He repeats the action again, and again, before the teachers and a couple of older students manage to pull him away.
Cai doesn't attempt to pull away from them. He just breathes heavily and stares at Daniel - who is still face down and showing no signs of movement - with a crazy look in his eyes. The other students look shocked, a lot of them even scared, and so they should be.
They just witnesses the birth of the Pitbull.
Of course there were many twists and turns on the road that led that young boy to be the man many wrestlers wish they never faced, but those are stories for another time. What did happen that day was the breaking of Cai Williams, releasing a wild fury within. It was also the day Pitbull discovered the joy of fighting. For so long physical conflict had been his worst enemy, but now he knew he could embrace it. Now he knew he could become the tormentor rather than the tormented.
And so we come to 2011. After a year dominating the British Independent circuit in his rookie year as a professional wrestler, beating - no, annihilating - literally everyone thrown in his path, Pitbull has got the attention of the bigger leagues. More specifically the Kingdom of Pride. Jeremy Sterling and Kurt Noble only had to take one look at Pitbull in action to realise the potential he holds, and they want him to unleash it in their company.
So Pitbull has signed the contract and it has took only one appearance for this man to stun the KoP world, violently assaulting well respected former World Champion Adam Abel - on his last night of all things. But those who are shocked by Pitbull's actions better strap themselves in, because they haven't even seen the man wrestle yet. And rest assured, it's going to be a bumpy ride - for his opponents.
Ladies and gentlemen... Meet Pitbull...

We now go to a shot of an empty locker room - empty but for one, muscular man. Pitbull stands directly in front of the camera a few yards back, his head slightly lowered. Slowly he raises his head, setting a stern stare upon the watching audience.
"What you saw tonight was nothing," he speaks in a slight Welsh accent as he begins to remove the tape from his hands. "What I did to Adam Abel was nothing compared to what I would do to him if he ever stepped into the ring with me. But believe me when I say I did enough to make sure Abel would never be stupid enough to do that. You've seen the last of the so-called Astonishing One, I simply sent him on his way. His time is over. My time is now."
"It all begins this Sunday at Survival of the Proud," Pitbull continues after a brief cause to discard the tape now removed from his right hand. "It would appear my new employers have chosen to enter me in a tournament. I don't know what their motivation for such a decision is and I don't much care either. It's fine by me. In fact I thank them, because I am chomping at the bit. I am relishing the thought of being able to destroy not just one man but five men all in one night. It is the perfect opportunity to showcase exactly what you can come to expect of me. And it will be a sign of things to come; because this Sunday you will witness domination like you have never seen before, and that's exactly what I will do from that day forward - dominate the Kingdom of Pride."
Discarding the tape from his left hand, Pitbull now pounds his right fist into his left palm. As he does this and continues to glare at the camera, it is hard to not find this figure unsettling to say the least. The thought of staring across at those eyes in the ring would be enough alone to send the weaker men in this business running.
"That's what I like to do, you see. I like to dominate. I like to cause suffering. To me there is no better feeling than that of bone being crushed under my fists. See, like so many others in this business I didn't enter this business for the plaudits, or the admiration of the fans. I did so because I love to fight, and I love a challenge...."
Pitbull takes a step towards the camera. "You see, contrary to what you may have assumed after what I did to Adam Abel, I'm no bully. Bullies like to pick out harmless prey and get their kicks against somebody who won't fight back. Me, however, I take my pleasure in knowing I bully the toughest sons of bitches on this planet. Whether it be in the boxing ring, the wrestling ring, or even MMA, I've done it all and clashed with the biggest and baddest my promoters could find. I did it for so long over the pond before realising the United Kingdom simply had no true challenge to offer me anymore."
Illustrating his genuine disappointment in that, Pitbull sighs before continuing. "So when the offer came to join the Kingdom of Pride, it didn't take much thought. I've seen the men who compete here, each and every one capable of so much more than the jokes I was beating for fun in the UK. It was the lure of that challenge that brought me to this company."
"Men like you Stephen Callaway..." Pitbull's lips curl into a slight smile, although it is so sinister it only serves to make his presence even more unsettling. "You are a man who doubtless has all the heart in the world, and the intelligence and physical ability to back it up. I will take great joy in pounding you until you can't get up anymore, knowing that an accomplished wrestler has gave it his all only to be destroyed by me. Perhaps when I defeat you you can take consolation in the fact you will go down in history. When people look back at my great legacy, you will be the first on my list of victims in the Kingdom of Pride. You will be where it all began, and that may be the greatest honour you receive in our entire career."
After pausing briefly to crack his neck, Pitbull continues. "As for the rest of you, you all offer me the different challenges I seek. Whether it's veterans like Obscene, a man with the pure toughness Dru Tha Merc possesses, a man in the middle of building an impressive win/loss record here like Eddie Nash, or even Kid Flanagan - a man who has proven himself as a Champion and been a cornerstone of this company... you all will be worthy obstacles for me to smash right through. But despite the ability I'll happily admit you all have, none of you will be able to stop me. I will back up my actions from tonight, and I will shake the Kingdom to the core by not just winning this tournament, but absolutely destroying all that stand in my way in the process. And then..."
Half grinning, half snarling, Pitbull takes another step towards the camera, now barely a yard away. "Then I'm coming for you Josh Eagles. Because if you're the top champ here, you're the top challenge for me, and that makes you my number one target. So I'll see you soon. As for the rest of you, you don't have that luxury. The hourglass has been overturned and I'm on a collision course with each and every one of you. Believe me when I say it will be an experience none of you will ever forget..."
Regaining his previous serious facial expression, Pitbull takes a step back as the scene slowly fades to black, leaving everybody - Josh Eagles, his opponents this Sunday, and the KoP fans - to think on his foreboding words.
So the Pitbull has arrived in the Kingdom of Pride, and he promises to bring with him all the pain and suffering you could possibly imagine. The only question that remains now is this: will he deliver on those promises? The answer awaits at Survival of the Proud.
