Just because I'm free to speculate
Orge over Tommy helps set Orge up as a threat to the KoP roster and make him look stronger in his debut as opposed to say...putting Orge against me/John and risking him losing right out of the gate. Makes sense to me.
That said
Orge Jobbie Obscene Eagles

Makes sense to me. This is just an opinion and nothing more. In all actuality, I could careless who Ogre fights. This is in no way a post to offend or ridicule anyone. I have never been an angle lover as far as efeds go. Placing Ogre against.. himself.. is ridiculous in my book. This match generates no interest and the winner is pretty much predetermined. The winner looks weaker, maybe not in character, but in all actuality because of this. Plus, it makes the rest of the card look weaker, causing folks to wonder... are all the matches angled? If Ogre was to debut and lose right away... that is the way it goes. I took that chance last week as have many other people, lol. I know Ogre though pretty well, and so I am just going to let it lie at that. On a personal level, Ogre has always been respectful to me, so I hope he has fun with this. Again, I am not bothered by this in all truths. Just an opinion.

Again, I am not bothered by this in all truths. Just an opinion. I agree with what both guys are saying, to an extent. I think giving Orge the obvious 'kill tommy hargrove and take him out of action' spot here is good in the sense that Orge gets a 'killed career' to his credit, and it gets rid of Hargrove, which is something that's likely going to happen anyways. But, I also see where X is coming from. I agree that angled matches should be held to a minimum. Assuming this is a "orge goes over and kills hargrove" scenerio, I would maybe book it more as Orge vs a real person, and then in a segment, orge kills hargrove. If orge loses his match, it's up to Noble/Sterling to book it in a way that protects him (maybe after match beat down of guy who beat him?) and if orge wins, he gets MUCH more hype points then if he beats his own character. Of course...THAT said...KoP doesn't have a huge roster, so this does allow for another match on the card.

Just to clarify something on the issue of angled matches in Pride...
Angled matches, so far, have been done to an incredible minimum. The only time they've even been mentioned is when someone was leaving, and they angled a loss going out, which has happened...once so far, I believe. We will also NEVER angle a match unless both people agree to it, and they're the ones that present the idea. I definitely don't approve of fed heads trying to dictate the flow of ideas in their feds. Always thought that should come from the roster.
I've honestly always had a really loose idea of running a fed. Basically...I don't turn away people's storylines. If you want to do it, we do it, and if we had a storyline before that now changes, we do our best to accomodate it to you.
And let me assure you, Orge/Tommy has a point besides introducing Orge Lambart as a character...
Anyway, that's my two cents.
