Sitting Atop the Kingdom
Name: Chris Hart
Age: 20
Orientation (H/F): Face
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 195lbs
Hometown: Calgary, Alberta
Gimmick: A true fan favorite who will do anything in the ring or outside of it to protect those he cares about. He also possesses a bit of a hot head streak as when pushed to far he will revert to his old style of savagely attacking everyone in sight.
Ring Psychology: Chris is a pure professional wrestler. He will take to the air, or lock you down with a variety of submission holds. As a member of the Hart family, his wrestling acumen could be considered second to none and with the added heart from his struggles to get back into the wrestling world there are few that will top him. In match, he will look to keep it at his own tempo, even if he is on the receiving end of the beating. Methodic holds and slams, before short high paced bursts. He'll not overstretch his own boundaries but will not stick solely within them, leaving room for innovation. Will also use quick, rapid, pin-falls in most matches to keep his opponent on edge.
Favored Gimmick Match: Strap Match. This is Chris favourite as there is no where for the opponent to go, and will always be within reach of him. He‘s finished major feuds in Stampede with this match and will use it again if someone pushes him too far..
Favorite Weapons Fluorescent Light Tubes and Leather Strap
Entrance Music: Where The Hood At-DMX (Instrumental)
Entrance Description:
The lights in the arena go down as the opening beat of Where The Hood At hit’s the dark arena as the top of the entrance ramp fills with smoke. At the fifteen second mark the beat picks up as pink and gold lights start to flash all around the arena. At the twenty second mark lasers start to flicker all around as the entire entrance ramp is now covered in smoke as Chris Hart emerges from the back dressed in his long surfer style shorts and sneakers. He walks down to the arena bobbing to the beat, slapping the occasional one’s hand whilst carrying a smile on his facer. He slides into the ring and goes to the far corner, climbing the turnbuckle and throwing one arm up in the air.
CHOOSE ONE:
Chris then flips off the rope and either stares down his opponent, waiting for the bell to start the match.
Chris then flips off the rope and turns towards the entrance way, staring anxiously up it in anticipation of his opponent.
The Moveset of Chris Hart
Basic Moves: These are simple moves that Chris will use in most matches to wear down his opponent. It also goes without saying that simple moves like DDT’s, basic submissions and Clotheslines are also in Chris’ arsenal
Dragon Whip
Shoulder Claw
Repeated Arm Drags
Corner Clothesline
Inverted Atomic Drop
Flapjack
Lightning Inside Cradle
Standing Knee Drop
Side Backbreaker
Running Crossbody Block
Standing Legsweep
Double Leg Takedown
Over The Shoulder Arm Breaker
Advanced Moves: These are the more specialized moves that Chris will use but are not considered signature or finishing level.
Leaping Lariat--Done from a number of places, this can be leaping off the top rope, the apron or as shown in the video, the barricade. An alternate leg lariat version can also be used as well.
Rolling Kesagiri Chop--A basic move, basically a spinning chop to the side of the throat. Can be used in a combo of multiple shots.
Aztec Suplex--A basic Aztec suplex. Will be held for the pin attempt.
Shining Enziguri--A basic enziguri with a twist, instead of the foot it’s the knee connecting with the back of the head. Chris will likely attempt this once in a match.
Hesitation Drop Kick--A low drop kick. This is often done after one of the illegal rope moves is used while the opponent is still down, or trying to get up.
Ringpost Figure Four--The lone “illegal” move done in homage to his uncle. A basic ring post figure four as used by Bret Hart it inflicts considerable damage to the knees and will only be used in face vs. heel matches.
Saikyou High Kick--A forward thrusting big boot. This is Chris’ most often used counter to a Irish whip.
Sling Blade--A secondary counter to an Irish whip, the sling blade is basically a swinging lariat.
Shotei--A move used on the offensive, not as a counter. Chris will charge at his opponents before leveling them with a palm thrust.
Inside Elbows--Used to strike hard and fast, these elbows could conceivably finish a match if enough of them connect.
Single Handed Bulldog--The same as Chris Jericho. Self explanatory.
Gutwrench Suplex--Same as Dynamite Kid’s. Self explanatory.
Signature Moves: These are the next level in the arsenal. They are used primarily to set up for the finishers
Dungeon Driver--Hayabusa‘s Falcon Arrow, a vertical suplex lift into a sit-out slam. Remember Chris’ size when considering this move.
Sharpshooter--What would a Hart be without this move. This can also be used as a finisher depending on the situation.
Do You Love Me Now?--Used on approximately equal sized or smaller opponents. CIMA’s Schwein, an over the shoulder, belly to back pile driver. This is the move that Chris used on Robbie Venom at Supermania.
Coldest Winter Night--Used on larger opponents to set up for the Legacy Bomb. A simple move really, Chris hooks his opponent in what could be coined as a reverse sleeper hold before dropping out into a shoulder jawbreaker.
Thrill of the Night--Used on larger opponents to set up for the Legacy Bomb. A stranglehold rolling cutter that is near impossible to counter.
Broken Harts--Used seldom, only when Chris is looking to physically mame someone. He’ll hang the opponent up on the top rope so they are parallel to the ring mat in a front face lock, before dropping out and snapping the neck. Very gruesome.
Finisher: Fairly simple, this should end the match almost all the time.
Legacy Bomb--A Spiral Tap. This is the move that Chris will use ninety percent of the time to polish his opponent off and will always be immediately preceded by a signature move.
