Der Krieg Maschinen were still weary of their future after their confrontation with the Russian Otbet. The radios had been silent and now, they were two men and a woman miles from home without any sort of beacon of hope that their situation might change. They had taken care of the war over here, but they could not be sure what was going on back at home. However, due to their contract with the Kingdom of Pride, they could not pack their belongings and rush home to find out.
Instead, they had to stay in Tennessee. Their minds were elsewhere, but their bodies would have to be in the ring. Somba had to face one of KoP’s most formidable foes; Dru “Tha Merc” Dallins.

Kaja Reinhardt took a bite of her cold bagel, her eyes idly fixated on the screen of her computer. It had been nearly a month since she had heard from the Commander. When she first arrived in America, accompanied only by the speechless giants, Kaja felt as if she was truly alone. As time wore on, she had become accustomed to the silence of the Maschinen and had made several acquaintances along the way. But now, on January 30th, it felt like the first week in America all over again. Without the assurance of Kohler that things were okay, the Maschinen had no direction.
No direction at all.
Kaja sat down her breakfast and grabbed the small Styrofoam cup containing her coffee. She diverted her eyes from the laptop screen to look over as see the giant Maschinen. Balraj sat against the far wall, having already devoured the sausage biscuit that she had given him for breakfast. Nearer to her sat Somba. The Samoan hadn’t even touched his breakfast. Even though neither of them could talk, Kaja had slowly began to notice something that they had never been given credit for; personality. Both of the Maschinen knew that something was amiss, but were dealing with it in their own ways.
Balraj, the giant from India, was withdrawn for several days after the fight with the Otbet. However, lately he seemed to put added emphasis on simple tasks; such as eating breakfast. The giant was trying to simply move forward, no matter the cost. He recognized that not everything was right, but more importantly, he recognized that he couldn’t do anything about the problems at hand.
Somba, however, was beginning to worry Kaja. He had barely eaten over the past week and it was him, not Balraj, who was scheduled to face Dallins in the ring. She wondered if he was mentally ready to step back into the ring and face a legitimate challenge. Like Balraj, she hoped that he would eventually move forward with their tasks at hands, but it seemed as though it was taking him much longer to get there.
She took a slow sip from her coffee cup, turning her eyes back to the laptop screen. It was blank.
Just like they had done when they first arrived in America, the Krieg were going to have to figure things out for themselves.[/font]
But would they get back on their feet in time to stop Tha Merc? Only time would tell.
