FUCK PAMELA ANDERSON AND FUCK PETA. Here's why.
1) According to government documents, PETA employees have killed more than 19,200 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens since 1998. This behavior continues despite PETA’s moralizing about the “unethical” treatment of animals by farmers, scientists, restaurant owners, circuses, hunters, fishermen, zookeepers, and countless other Americans. PETA puts to death over 90 percent of the animals it accepts from members of the public who expect the group to make a reasonable attempt to find them adoptive homes. PETA holds absolutely no open-adoption shelter hours at its Norfolk, VA headquarters, choosing instead to spend part of its $32 million annual income on a contract with a crematory service to periodically empty hundreds of animal bodies from its large walk-in freezer.
2) PETA president and co-founder Ingrid Newkirk has described her group’s overall goal as “total animal liberation.” This means the complete abolition of meat, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, zoos, aquariums, circuses, wool, leather, fur, silk, hunting, fishing, and pet ownership. In a 2003 profile of Newkirk in The New Yorker, author Michael Specter wrote that Newkirk has had at least one seeing-eye dog taken away from its blind owner. PETA is also against all medical research that requires the use of animals, including research aimed at curing AIDS and cancer.
3) PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to Rodney Coronado, an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) serial arsonist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing memorandum, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich has also told an animal rights convention that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation,” adding, “Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it.”
4) PETA activists regularly target children as young as six years old with anti-meat and anti-milk propaganda, even waiting outside their schools to intercept them without notifying their parents. One piece of kid-targeted PETA literature tells small children: “Your Mommy Kills Animals!” PETA brags that its messages reach over 1.2 million minor children, including 30,000 kids between the ages of 6 and 12, all contacted by e-mail without parental supervision. One PETA vice president told the Fox News Channel’s audience: “Our campaigns are always geared towards children, and they always will be.”
5) PETA’s president has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.” And PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, solely because they support animal-based research aimed at curing life-threatening diseases and birth defects. And PETA helped to start and manage a quasi-medical front group, the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, to attack medical research head-on.
6) PETA has compared Jewish victims of the Nazi Holocaust to farm animals and Jesus Christ to pigs. PETA’s religious campaigns include a website that claims—despite ample evidence to the contrary—that Jesus Christ was a vegetarian. PETA holds protests at houses of worship, even suing one church that tried to protect its members from Sunday-morning harassment. Its billboards taunt Christians with the message that hogs “died for their sins.” PETA insists, contrary to centuries of rabbinical teaching, that the Jewish ritual of kosher slaughter shouldn’t be allowed. And its infamous “Holocaust on Your Plate” campaign crassly compared the Jewish victims of Nazi genocide to farm animals.
7) PETA frequently looks the other way when its celebrity spokespersons don’t practice what it preaches. As gossip bloggers and Hollywood journalists have noted, Pamela Anderson’s Dodge Viper (auctioned to benefit PETA) had a “luxurious leather interior”; Jenna Jameson was photographed fishing, slurping oysters, and wearing a leather jacket just weeks after launching an anti-leather campaign for PETA; Morrissey got an official “okay” from PETA after eating at a steakhouse; Dita von Teese has written about her love of furs and foie gras; Steve-O built a career out of abusing small animals on film; the officially “anti-fur” Eva Mendes often wears fur anyway; and Charlize Theron’s celebrated October 2007 Vogue cover shoot featured several suede garments. In 2008, “Baby Phat” designer Kimora Lee Simmons became a PETA spokesmodel despite working with fur and leather, after making a $20,000 donation to the animal rights group.

I stopped liking Pamala Anderson when it came to my attention that she would let a human being drown to save an animal.
Also I'm inclined to call BS on her claims to be such an Animal Activist, after all she married Kid Rock and that guy loves to rock his animal furs, not to mention eat tons of meat and hunt.
Plus have you seen the Tommy Lee video that chick loves meat!!!

I deplore PETA. Being from out west, I love Rodeo and I love Chuckwagon Racing. Every year they protest, saying the animals are caged and every time one dies, they complain. This year, five animals died, four of which because of the weather, weather they'd endure in the wild.
I've been around the stables before and these animals are pampered. The bulls are fed great stock, the horses are well kept, it's amazing. If they're sick, they get treated faster than humans do to. Most of them have great lives because they work for three years and then they're retired, used for stock.
PETA and most lobby groups, are one track minded. They promote what they see as fact and guilt others into believing what they're doing is wrong. Anyone with an open mind can see just how farcical they are.

I stopped liking Pamala Anderson when it came to my attention that she would let a human being drown to save an animal. if i wasn't friends with or related to the human being in question, and the animal wasn't already struck with some terminal illness, id let the human drown too. of course, given that i cant get through a week without being confronted with a half dozen shining examples of the evils my race is capable of, i tend to lean towards animals. 3 stories about mothers driving their kids into a lake/pedophilic priests/ guy chucks a kitten into a wall for d/cing his xbox cord, vs one story about a dog who risked his own behind, rushing into a burning house to save his humans, who would most likely leave him to crisp... yeah.

not from what ive seen. have you taken a look at what we've done to this planet in 10,000 years, when the animals did just fine with it in a couple billion? forget about the planet, look at what we do to each other. if we're wired the wrong way, suddenly we're developing sexual attraction to our young. or our siblings. in some cases, our parents. okay, the animals do that too, but at least they can blame instinct. what i was always made to understand was supposed to make us better than animals was our alleged ability to control our instincts. and then there's the lovely one where the girl was raped by one of her church leaders, then when she found out she was pregnant, they made her go in front of the congregation to apologize. Columbine. 9/11, the iraq war itself. what could you possibly show me to make me think for a second that the race committing all these evils are better than animals? and while im at it, depending on one's beliefs: once upon a time there was an influential spiritual figure. this guy was healing all sorts of maladies, casting out demons, feeding crowds using Conjure Food, all that fun stuff. people loved him. in fact when he showed up in one of their capital cities, they took steps to keep his jackass from touching the ground. however, midweek he got mad and tore up one of their churches, which they themselves had corrupted and turned into a shop, and 3 days later he was dead.

Semmel, I'm a complete misanthrope and I'd still save the human over the dog. explain that, because im seeing a complete and utter contradiction of a sentence there. why if you hate them so much, would you preserve their numbers at the expense of the dog?

Okay so maybe I'm not a complete misanthrope, because as much as I despise most of the human race. There's still a chance that the person I save will actually or has accomplished something in their life. Animals are just cute and fluffy and pretty to look at.

That animal didn't run back into the house because he wanted to save his owners, he ran back into the house because he realized without his people he wouldn't eat.

That animal didn't run back into the house because he wanted to save his owners, he ran back into the house because he realized without his people he wouldn't eat. so technically, running back into the house to save his owners is exactly what he did. what we disagree on is why he ran back into the house to save his owners

I read a story where a complete stranger ran into a burning house and saved a family from dieing. Including numerous youngsters who would have surely perished otherwise.
The main problem with humanity is the media loves to push out people being bad. Such as murders, rapes, and the dark sides of humanity. Yet the small things people do for each other every day aren't reported on.

Here goes one story, recently in Philadelphia a barge crashed into a small boat, the small boat got crushed and everyone on board was in the water. When the first set of police arraived on the scene an officer noticed a mother with her three daughters clinging to a buey, one of the daughters was struggling to stay afloat. Even though it went against police regulations he jumped into the water and saved the family.
A more basic everyday every experience would be when someone exit's a store at the same time someone enters it. One of the people holds the door open for the other.
Dateline NBC did a story a few years back where they had an undercover operation, they had several people enter a pharmacy and attempt to pick up medicine they needed. The person didn't have enough money to buy the medicine. They observed numerous people who went out of their way to help a complete stranger pay for the medicine. It was a set up, with the pharmacist and the buyer being a part, while the mark was not.
Go on Youtube, numerous videos exist with people jumping down onto train tracks to help people who have fallen over the side and have been unable to get back up.
I've seen countless acts of minor good deeds, such as someone helping a old lady cross the street, people rushing to help someone who has fallen down. Don't get me wrong, human's aren't awesome, but the world really isn't as bad as many people make it out to be. I like to think most people at their very cores and decent. How you veiw humanity will also be altered by what environment you grow up in.
