Hey dude you want to help me paint my house?
Tommy Hargrove is standing in a fairly long line at the local McDonalds, he has on a pair of blue jeans and a black tee-shirt, his bald head has begun to stubble up and a pair of black sun glasses are on his face. He has hands inside his pockets and a smile on his face. Sitting at a table not too far from Tommy is a man from his past, Jack Thomas, Jack has on a tweet jacket and a pair of tan khaki’s. Jack isn’t much to look at his face covered in acne scars, he has pale skin and red hair, which unfortunately left him as an outcast for much of high school. Aside from Jack’s fellow D n D family Tommy was his only friend.
Holy crap dude, is that you Jack?
Jack nods his head yes and motions for Tommy to come join him at the table. Tommy notices the line hasn’t moved in nearly five minutes and decides to abandon his attempt to order his favorite comfort food, a an Oreo Mcflurry. He walks toward Jack and slides into the stall across from him, he extends his right hand, Jack does the same and the two men shake.
Wow Tommy you look good, you must have lost at least a hundred pounds. How’d you manage to lose so much weight? When we were in school you used to eat like five lunches and all heck you would down maybe four or five of those milks.
Tommy looks a little bashful as his cheeks brighten up.
Well you remember Nick Hill right?
Jack rolls his eyes and lets out a sigh
Of coarse I remember Nick Hill, how could I forget him, he was the biggest asshole I’ve ever met. He was the ring leader of so many schemes and plots against us I almost lost count. Although you have peaked my interest what does Nick have to do with you losing all that weight?
Tommy begins to tell the story when something catches his attention. Walking towards them is the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen Could it be Jack’s beautiful sister, Mandy, Tommy used to have such a crush on her in high school. He watches her curvaceous body as she moves closer to the pair. Jack takes notice of Tommy’s jaw dropping and turns to look.
Oh hey Mandy, you finally got back from the bathroom, look who it is sis, it’s Tommy Hargrove, remember him?
Mandy smiles and immediately begins to blush, her puffy cheeks shine red as she sits down. She stares across at Tommy and is taken back by how different he looks.
Wow Tommy is that really you, you seriously look good, like so hot
Tommy doesn’t know what to say so he sits there in silence, staring back at Mandy, he notices she looks a bit flirtatious with him Jack takes notice as well, he begins to feel like something of a third wheel.
So Tommy you never told me what Nick Hill had to do with you losing weight.
Mandy interrupts him
Yuck, I hate that guy, he’s such a stuck up prick, I remember when he asked me out on a date, then when I showed up, him and a bunch of the seniors made oinking noises and had Sally Reinshold try to fight me. Fortunately for me I’m a tough little firecracker, unfortunately for her, she just had a nose job.
Mandy smiles
Score one for the good guys.
Tommy struggles to talk, with Mandy’s radiant beauty shining in his eyes.
Nick isn’t such a bad guy, he just needed to grow up a lot, and trust me, he has. In fact he took me under his wing and helped me train, he took me some wrestling holds and even set me up with a job wrestling for the Kingdom of Pride.
Jack and Mandy look impressed, Tommy seems to get a bit more comfortable
Yeah, I just had a fight last weekend for the championship, I lost, but it was such a valuable experience. I owe it all to Nick, you guys should come to his gym once in a while, I’m sure he’d love to see you.
Jack looks incensed, Mandy looks interested
So are you going to be there? I wouldn’t mind coming and watching you work out.
Tommy blushes hard, Mandy looks at him like he’s a fresh order of McNuggets.
I like to watch men get all sweaty, it turns me on.
Jack looks a bit disgusted while Tommy enjoys the thought.
Well, yeah, umm I’d be there, I go like everyday, Nick will be glad to see you, I’m sure he’ll even apologize for all the bad things he did when we were kids.
Mandy reaches onto the table and flips off the top bun of her double cheeseburger, she grabs a fistful of fries and places them on top, then casually replaces the top bun
Oh then I’ll definitely be sure to head on over, I would love to catch up on old times with you Tommy. We really need to do something.
Jack can’t take it anymore
This is too much guys I’m going to head on out, Tommy it was awesome to see you again, like my sister said, don’t be a stranger bud.
Jack walks out the door, he turns around and gives one last wave before exiting the McDonalds
Wow I didn’t think I’d ever see Jack again, we we’re so close until the accident, it’s a real shame we didn’t keep in touch with each other.
Mandy lifts her burger in the air, opens her mouth and takes a huge bite, a small bit of ketchup slides onto the corner of her mouth. She doesn’t seem to notice.
So Tommy how have you been, you married yet, got any little Tommy’s running around.
Tommy chuckles a bit
No Mandy, I’m single, and no children, I’m sorry to change the subject but you have this little drip right on the side of your mouth.
Mandy smiles
Why don’t you wipe it off with your tongue?
Tommy swallows hard, he grabs a few napkins from the holder on the table, he uses them to wipe away the ketchup from her mouth, Mandy reaches up and rubs Tommy’s hand.
You have such strong hands Tommy, I bet they’d feel good caressing my back.
Tommy just sits there silently, unable to move, unable to speak, unable to breath.
Maybe you’d like to caress my back?
Tommy sits still like a robot, he tries to find a way to change the subject and end the conversation.
Well Mandy, it was really awesome talking to you, but I’m afraid I have some training to do, so I’ll see you later. Stop by the gym, I’m sure Nick will love to see you again.
Tommy gets up from the booth, he walks toward the door in an uncomfortable manner. He exit’s the door and rushes to his car. Once inside he breaths deeply and ponders what he could have done differently.
