Again, suffering defeat, Steven Carter begins to not only doubt himself but his future with Kingdom of Pride. With eight days left on his limited contract and a poor win-loss record, Steven may see himself in the unemployment line faster than he had hoped for. But, why does such a financially solid man care so much about a job? He has oodles of cash to fall back on, he has a private mansion somewhere in the dark depths of China, and a manservant by the name of Gerome Harley. Some men would kill for these things (except for Gerome, to be honest. He's a bit of an oddball) and Steven still wants more. There has got to be more to this guy's story. Why does he worry so much about his job? Why is he adament on making it big in professional wrestling? Why is he so desperate that he'll put up with John Parker on a daily basis?
We join Steven Carter alone in the Steven Carter slash John Parker locker room. Steven looks distressed as he paces back and forth, glancing over at his cell phone that is sitting on a coffee table with the words "JDP WAS HERE" carved in it, followed by a crudely carved heart with an arrow going through it.

SWC: C'mon...
A few minutes go by as Steven paces around the room, before suddenly the phone begins to vibrate and Steven jumps on the phone like a tiger on prey. He answers it, and nervously he speaks.
SWC: ...Hello...?
Caller: Mr. Carter, I presume?
SWC: Yes, is this Randy O'Dell?
O'Dell:Yes. This is Mr. Randy O'Dell, the lawyer of your deceased relative whom you have inherited a large sum from.
SWC: I received your letter, Mr. O'Dell. You stated that there was a problem with the will?
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, I regret to inform you that the problem doesn't so much lie in the will - rather, it lies with the way you've handled the will.
SWC: I'm sorry?
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, your grandmother clearly stated in her will that her fortune would be given to the first born child of your family, do you understand?
SWC: Yes, and that is me. I've reviewed the birth record and I have my certificate in front of me, as well as my younger brother's. I am the first born Carter-
O'Dell: Do not interupt me, Mr. Carter.
Steven stops speaking and gulps.
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, you know why I'm calling. You know you are adopted, and therefore not the first born child of your family.
Steven cringes and slams his fist on the table, putting a crack in between the words "John Parker" and "Was Here". He sits down on the couch, as O'Dell continues.
O'Dell: While you may be the oldest, you were not born of the Carter family. Your brother Andrew is the rightful heir to this fortune - he knows it, you know it, and I know it. There is no reason for him to be out on the streets while you go about and spend his entire fortune! Mr. Carter, I assume you understand the seriousness of this situation.
SWC: ...
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, I assume you're still there?
SWC: ...Yeah...
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, what you've done was steal an entire fortune from the rightful heir with full knowledge of the fact that by this technicality you were not the first born child of the Carter family.
SWC: So, Andrew... when will I be able to see him and explain?
O'Dell: I have previously spoken with Andrew. Despite my request, he refuses to press charges against you.
SWC: Thank God...
O'Dell: However, earlier today we have accessed your bank account and transfered all the funds from the will over to his account. That, and about thirteen thousand more to pay for the money you have spent.
Steven jumps to his feet and begins to scream into the phone.
SWC: YOU DID WHAT!? NOT EVERYTHING THERE WAS FROM THE FORTUNE! YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!
O'Dell: You've spent a great deal of your brother's money, and you must repay it all. Currently, your bank account holds a little of two thousand american dollars - only a fraction of what you still owe to your brother.
SWC: Son of a-
O'Dell: Furthermore, your mansion in China has been given to Gerome Harley at the request of your brother. Gerome wishes you to return there within the month to pack up your belongings, else we will possess them as payment for what you owe your brother.
SWC: This can't be happening.
O'Dell: Mr. Carter, you knew what you were getting yourself into. These are the consequences, and you must deal with them. Thankfully for you, you have a solid job with this professional wrestling company Kingdom of Pride.
Steven's heart sinks, and the black cloud over his head begins to pour tremendous feelings of anxiety, guilt, dispair, and anguish over him.
O'Dell: I will call you within the next week to discuss how we will go about retrieving this money you have taken from your brother. Until then, your account is under heavy surveillance and the Kingdom of Pride staff have been notified about your situation. Good day, Mr. Carter.
Mr. O'Dell hangs up, and Steven drops his head and sits back down on the couch.
SWC: It's all over...
Steven rises to his feet, and chucks his phone against a wall, shattering it on contact. He storms out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Ah, crap. He's poor now. Well, he sorta deserves it. After all, his brother is the rightful heir. Sorta sucks though because now he doesn't have just his job to worry about, but his whole means of living. If I were Steven, I would apply for the first opening position at a Home Depot or something.
Poor guy.
Fin.
