We Are The Future
Finally the Kingdom has officially returned. As if it was in doubt, the Return of the Kingdom supercard was a huge success. During a night full of twists and turns, one turn shook the foundations of the KoP federation as Adam Abel turned his back on the fans by nailing the just crowned Valiant Champion Chris Hart with a Shooting Star Press and subsequently joining up with the original bad guy, Christian Kane. So now, after the dust has settled, the resounding question is why did he attack Chris Hart, and why did he align himself with Christian Kane? Only time will tell.

'Return of the Kingdom' - Cookeville Community Center
After the Show
The scene opens with Christian Kane and Adam Abel walking down a hallway preparing to leave, suitcases in tow. As they walk toward the doors leading to the parking lot, an arm extends in front of Abel, and a Kingdom of Pride backstage worker steps out in front of the pair looking rather distraught. "Adam...man...why did you do that!? C'mon su-" Christian Kane interrupts him with a hard slap to the face, sending the man stumbling backwards and eventually holding his face in shock.
Kane drops his suitcase and advances toward the man. "Shut your mouth, you piece of shit. Adam doesn't have to answer to you, or anybody. Get lost before I punch your teeth down your throat, asshole." Christian picks up his suitcase and turns to Adam. "Let's go. I'm sick of this place."
Abel looks sideways at the worker, who now has a sour look on his face following Kane talking down to him. "Yeah, I agree. Let's go." Both of them continue walking the length of the corridors before eventually pushing open a set of double doors and entering the parking lot. Scanning the parking lot, Christian tries to find his car.
"Where the fuck is it..." he mouths to himself. Christian turns to Abel. "Did the girls take my car to go back to the hotel?"
Adam shakes his head 'no'. "Melanie drove mine."
Rubbing his chin, Kane pushes down the extended handle on his suitcase and sits on it. As Abel leans to his left to attempt to locate Christian's car, the Canadian pulls out his phone.
'1 New Message'
He ignores this and instead dials a number before putting the phone to his ear. "Dani!"
"..."
"Where the fuck is my car?"
"..."
"Alright...."
"..."
"Yeah yeah whatever." CK hangs up and slips the phone in his pocket.
"Did she say where the car is?" Adam asks.
Kane looks at him as he stands. "Yeah. She always fuckin' moves it from where I tell her to park."
Knowing CK, Adam raises an eyebrow. "You let a girl drive your car?"
"I can't be expected to do all the work. I'm not their personal chauffeur, am I?"
The 'Astonishing' young man standing across from Christian nods his head. "I guess you're right. So where's the car?"
"This way." Christian says as he extends his suitcase handle. "Let's go." The scene fades to black as we see the pair approach a silver Audi TT Coupe.

Bucco's Bistro - Cookeville, Tennessee
10:15PM
The Audi TT Coupe we saw in the parking lot pulls up in one of three parking spaces allotted to a small bistro beside it. The car's engine turns off and a door on both sides open before Adam Abel and Christian Kane both step out of the car. They both close the doors and Kane locks the car before he and Abel enter the bistro. As they sit down and pick up a laminated menu each, Christian speaks. "So about Melanie...how is she on this whole thing?"
Seemingly not paying much attention, Abel looks up from his menu. "What whole thing?"
"Attacking Chris Hart, turning on the fans, whatever you want to call it."
Adam lays the menu flat on the table and leans forward, shaking his head. "To tell you the truth, she isn't as on board as I am. But it's to be expected right?"
"Right." Kane says, nodding.
"I'm hoping she'll come around in time. Emma should be completely for the whole thing when she finds out, though. She's a trouble maker."
Christian rolls his eyes. "I know, right."
Time passes as both men go back to looking at the menu, eventually Abel puts his menu down. "Actually, speaking of Emma...do you have any idea where she is? I haven't been to get hold of her in a long while, come to think of it."
CK leans back and sighs. "Last I heard she was with Jamie Bamford."
"What?! Jamie Bamford? Seriously?" Adam says in shock and anger.
"I know! He's a slimy little Welsh twat." As Christian says this a waitress stops at the table.
"May I take your order, gentlemen?"
Christian throws the menu aside. "Uhh...I'll just have some water."
"You're not going to have any food?" Abel asks.
Kane shakes his head. "Nah, I'm not that hungry to be honest."
"Why'd you come here then?" The waitress asks, frustrated.
Christian frowns and points at her. "Hey! Shut up and do your job! I'm pretty fuckin' sure you don't get paid to QUESTION your customers as to why they're ordering whatever they're fuckin' ordering!"
The waitress rolls her eyes, knowing in a way Christian is right, but not wanting to really show it. "Now then..." Christian says "...go do your job, get my water, and whatever my friend he wants." he finishes as he motions to Abel.
"I'll also have a water."
The waitress sighs. "Alright..."
CK turns back to Abel. "So...what were we talking about?"
Abel shrugs. "Jamie Bamford. But let's forget about him, let's talk about your match next week."
"Huh? Who have I got?" Kane inquires, obviously having not checked the card yet.
"Josh Eagles."
Christian begins to laugh, causing Adam to look at him in confusion. "What?"
"Oh. My bad. Whenever I hear that pathetic piece of shits name I just have to have a good laugh."
"You don't like him either?"
CK scoffs. "Of course I don't like him! Eagles is a prick. He's always been a prick, and he will always BE a prick!" The waitress walks over with their drinks and places them on the table just after Kane bangs his clenched fist on the table for emphasis.
"Why do you say that?"
"People don't change, dude." Christian firmly puts it as he takes a sip of water. "Let me rephrase that; people like Josh Eagles don't change. You see, he always goes oot every fuckin' week and brags aboot how he's a good guy now! How he fights the 'good fight', or whatever the fuck he talks aboot. I just can't believe I'm the only one that sees through all that bullshit!"
Abel chimes in. "I see it too, man, don't worry."
"Well yeah, obviously. Excluding you. Deep down inside Josh Eagles is STILL a fuckin' brat who lied and manipulated helpless people to get what he wanted. And for him to be on a high horse when other people do it is so hypocritical it's untrue."
"Like the pot calling the kettle black." Adam smirks.
"Exactly. And that is one of the many reasons I clocked him in that fuckin' smug face of his with a steel chair."
"Well...that and he eliminated you."
Christian raises an eyebrow at Abel's cheeky remark. "Well yeah, I guess that goes without saying, Adam. Who's he to get in the way of MY destiny, huh?" The pair grin slightly and gulp down some water. "But hey. Despite all of that shit, I'm not going to count him out."
"Why?" Adam asks, finishing his glass of water.
Christian leans back a little. "Think aboot it Adam. If I build myself up to you here, and completely bury Eagles and straight up lose to Eagles, what will I come off looking like? A fuckin' jackass, what are you gonna think of me then, huh?"
"That's true."
"And anyway..." CK continues. "...he's achieved quite a lot for a whiny little bitch. More than me, anyway." Kane finishes his glass of water.
"True again. But we have to look to the future, man. Josh Eagles...is not the future. Me and you are the future. You. and me." Christian grins and nods. "And you know what Christian, you're going to prove that next Sunday, when you defeat Josh Eagles and rightfully PROVE that you're the future!"
"We are the future." Kane and Abel bumps fists as Abel gets up out of his seat.
"So you wanna go, or what?"
Instead of getting up, Christian stays firmly sat in his seat. "Nah, I'm thinking of meeting someone. Take my car back to the hotel."
"Alright..." Adam takes the car keys from CK and turns to leave, then turns back around. "...wait, my company isn't good enough for you?" Abel says with another smirk on his face.
"Well, are you secretly a chick I can fuck?"
The Astonishing One puts his hands up. "Alright bro, enough said, enough said. I'll catch you later."
"Peace." Christian replies as his friend opens the door and heads towards the silver Audi. Meanwhile Christian Kane flips out his phone and checks the message he received earlier in the Cookeville Community Center parking lot. With a grin on his face, CK presses a button, then puts the phone to his ear. "Hey, Melissa...it's Christian."
The scene fades.
