It seems to me, that over the numerous years that this circle of efedders has been together, somewhere along the lines, people have forgotten just what an active, and viable fed means in this community.
Many of us haven't been in an efed outside of one made up of this circle of feds (UWL, PWF, KoP) in years. Literally. Some of us where only 20 when we started with this group, and are now 22. Some of us, longer then that. Some of us have been with UWL since the beginning. Starting at a lowly, illegal, 17, and now being a drinking 23 year old. Some have gone from starting their senior year in high school to finishing their first year out of college. There are people in this circle that have started as bachelors, and are now married with kids.
Some of us, have quite literally, grown up together.
So what does that have to do with Kingdom of Pride?
Well, as of now, it is the main alternative to UWL...I have nothing against UWL. I love UWL. It is the forefather to PWF, which as anyone who knows me knows, I loved. But for those that don't see a future in UWL, this, is one of, if not the only, alternative to efedding while remaining in this circle.
And you are killing it.
It shocks me, that so many of you have been given the gift of such solid fed heads. Such reliable competition. Such an amazing set up, all out of the box. Without having to deal with the time it takes for everything to come into place.
And you're squandering it.
I'm not going to call you bad names. I'm not going to act holier then though. I've known many of you to long. I'm not your superior. I'm not someone who has the right to tell you how to act in your new home.
But I can say, that if I was lucky enough to be a fedder here, I would be excited to write some RP's. I wouldn't treat it as a burden, as so many people do. I wouldn't go on MSN and bitch about it.
Many people take this place for-granted. Many people think that because the owners aren't assholes and that they work with people, they think they can no show, flake, and be shitty friends. Yes, friends. Not efedders. Not people they know online. But shitty friends.
Many people take this place for-granted. Many people think that because they've had a home in this circle for years that they don't need to wipe their feet at the door.
Many people take this place for-granted. Many people think that because they've been hot shit in the past, that they'll be hot shit forever.
I'm not trying to do a rah, rah, rah, moment. I'm not a member of this fed, so what do I know, right? But the fact is, some of you, in a way, will never be more important then you are now. Your actions may dictate how up to 20 some odd people spend their free time for the next few years or longer. Yet some of you, blow it off like your doing other people a favor by trying to enjoy your own hobby like you've ever contributed a damn thing to this circle.
Monopolies are never good...and if this fed closes, then UWL has a monopoly of this circle. Like I've said, UWL is great, but I think even JJ would admit that having other feds in this circle is a good thing.
Quit being careless
Quit being acting like others will pick up your slack
Quit being children
You can't 'think of what to write,' then do an 'in ring promo.'
copy verbatim a movie you saw
use lyrics from a song
do an interview with one of the interviewers provided
write what happened during your day in real life
write something...anything...
There are few people, if any, under 15. That said, 16 and up, you can drive a vehicle. You can control a 2 ton hunk of metal at 60 miles an hour around me and my family...I would hope that you have the responsibility to take care of a community that has worked without reward for YEARS to take care of you.
It's not about being able to think of what to write. It's not about being burnt out. Or busy. Or real life getting in the way. Any and all of us, over the course of 7 days, can find 15 minutes to write something. Unless you've not slept once in seven days and have not had one minute of personal time, then you should get something up. That''s not being over dramatic. That's not exaggerating. That's not expecting more out of you then I should...that's integrity. That's doing what you said. That's following up on what you said you would do when you applied to to this fed. People will say that 'life happened.' People will say that more important things came up. And sometimes they do. But if you can't make your commitments on a regular basis, even if those commitments are silly like efedding, then you are still breaking commitments, and like any other form of credit, you lose your value...you lose your integrity.
It's integrity. And even though this is a silly, embarrassing game, it still applies. And without integrity, you mean nothing, in this game, and in real life. Period.
